ISO 14000

The ISO 14000 are the standars and information related to environmental management.
ISO 1400 is acutally a series of international standars that privides framework for the development of both, the system and the supporting audit program.
The ISO 14001 is the document than contains all the requirements that a company should have.
The ISO 14001 EMS, especifies the requirements for such an envoronmental management, fulfilling these requirements demands objective evidence wich can be audited to demonstrate that the environmental managment system is operationg effectively in conformity to the standard.

IT requires that the organization develop an effective system that mets some requirements of the document ISO 14001.
So the company needs to follow a "plan-do-check-act" system that works.
The system has to be controlled and eficient.

Also is very important to measuring and monitoring the product and process that can have an impact to the envoronment.
The bes way is to implement a team:
  •  Appoint a management Representative
  • Assign an environmental SAfety Team
  • Assign a Management Team

ISO 9001 Vs ISOO 14001

Both are the mos well known ISO standars.
ISO 9001 its about helping a company to implement quality management, while ISO 14001
helps an organization to implement environmental management.
Having an ISO 9001, means tha the organization does ensure that its products or services satisfy
the costumer`s quality requirements, and achieve continual improvements of its performance.

Having an ISO 14001`s environmental management means what the organization does to
minimize pollution, farmful effects on the environment, and to conform to applicable
regulatory requirements and immprovement of the environment performance.

Both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 concern the way an organization goes about its work
  • They are not product Standards
  • The are not service standards.
  • The are process standards
  • The can be used by product manufactures and service providers.
